Hand Carved Pipe Tampers

To enhance your smoking experience, I carve tampers that promote peace, calm and thoughtful contemplation.  They occupy the senses, being visually appealing and possessing tremendous tactile qualities.  Over time they will absorb oils from the tobacco, smoke, and your hands, developing a patina that will enhance the grain and tell a story of a journey well travelled.

The wood I use to create my tampers grows in the hedgerows around my home – I use Ash, Oak, Beech, Blackthorn and Whitethorn.  When the wood is selected I release the tamper held within, relying on a sharp pocket knife, time and a lot of patience.
